Sky Village NYC After School Arts Program is a unique opportunity for children 5 to 10 years old to take part in weekly martial arts and classes at Queens Jiu-jitsu (22-55 31st St.), as well as ARTS classes at Sky Village NYC! (23-05 29th St.).

Inspired by the "Yin Yang Theory" in Chinese Philosophy, we believe that greater physical, mental and emotional balance can be achieved through the practice of various art forms, and proper nutrition.  Our children's program at Queens Jiu-jitsu will largely focus on martial arts however we are now also adding 5 days of exciting arts classes, including cooking classes on Thursdays!  We will also engage in a daily 10 minute "mind break" or meditation 2- 3 times a week to help our students calm their nervous systems and steady their focus. 

 

We feel confident with our regular after school routine your child will adopt systems for long lasting happiness and wellbeing.

OUR PROGRAM

If your child is under the age of 10 years old we will arrange for one of our staff to pick your child up from school and walk directly to Sky Village NYC (29th St.) for the afterschool program. A sample of our weekly schedule is listed below.

HOLIDAYS

 

Sky Village NYC plans to be open for most school holidays this year.  If you are registered for our After School Arts Program your child will have priority for childcare on these days. You are being charged a flat fee per week, so please take advantage of these holidays.  Our parents will NOT be charged for Winter Break, Mid Winter Break or Spring Break unless registered for those camps which will be priced at $525 (8am-3pm).

Sky Village NYC will be CLOSED on the following public school holidays:

​

• Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving

• Christmas, and the day after Christmas

• New Years Day, the day after New Years Day

• Memorial Day

​

If any of these holidays fall on a weekend we will also be closed for:

​

• First Day of Passover

• Good Friday

​

Sky Village has set expenses for each location based on attendance, consequently we do not offer refunds for personal sick days, vacation days, or “snow days”. On days when public school buildings are closed due to an emergency, all students and families should plan on staying home.

Registration for this exclusive program is $290 for 5 days a week for the school year. This price includes pick-up from your child's school, homework help and multiple specialty classes per week!
