In response to the COVID-19 pandemic Sky Village NYC is currently focused on extending quality childcare to the community by creating small group childcare in family homes. This effort will require parents to choose a limited number of children to gather with daily to sustain socially responsible behavior throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Benefits of small group in home childcare includes:
HOW IT WORKS
Two childcare professionals will be sent to your home Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. They will act as caregivers as well as educators assisting with open ended play time, reading books, negotiating social behaviors, completing art activities, online learning and meal preparation. Caregivers will be expected to commit themselves to a group of children for 3 to 6 months. Two caregivers will be required to be present every day, both will be required to wear a face mask at all times. Nanny cams will be installed for parents comfort and security.
BECOME A HOST FAMILY
In order to make this effort become a reality, a group will need to establish a location for children and caregivers to meet. This may include a home, apartment or recreation room in an apartment building. Each space will need to be examined for safety. Areas of use will be limited to the living area, kitchen, bathroom and outside areas. Houses and apartments with backyards are favored.
We realize that the use of a private home is an inconvenience for any home owner. As a safety measure, a cleaning service will be scheduled to clean and disinfect the home twice weekly. Caregivers will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of a clients home, leaving all areas of traffic clean and tidy. A rental fee will be offered to the host family for the generous use of their space.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Summer is just weeks away and the need for art education and quality childcare has never been more important. If this small group childcare system is approved by Governor Cuomo's office, we will start running groups of in home childcare as early as June 29th. We are currently hiring college graduates in all areas of education, therapy and the arts who have significant childcare experience. Potential caregivers will be heavily vetted, tested for COVID-19 often, CPR certified, college educated, creative, patient, kind and loving. If you would like your child to be a part of this fun, innovative type of childcare please contact Shasta Molnar at email@example.com.
